This Privacy Policy explains how INTERTOOL LLC ("INTERTOOL," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the INTERTOOL Dealer Portal at dealers.intertoolusa.com (the "Portal"). The Portal is a business-to-business service intended for dealers, retailers, and other commercial accounts. By creating an account or using the Portal, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly when you request a dealer account, are approved, and place orders, including:
- Business information — business name, store or location numbers, and any co-op or buying-group affiliation you provide.
- Contact information — contact name, email address, and phone number.
- Address information — shipping and billing addresses used to fulfill and invoice orders.
- Account information — your login credentials (managed by our authentication provider), your assigned pricing program, and account status.
- Order information — the products, quantities, pricing, and notes associated with orders you submit.
We also collect limited technical information automatically, such as your browser type and basic log data generated when your browser communicates with our services. The Portal does not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking technologies.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Review and approve dealer account applications and assign the appropriate pricing program;
- Display dealer pricing, process and fulfill orders, and maintain your order history;
- Send transactional communications such as account approval notices, order confirmations, and shipment updates;
- Provide customer and warranty support and respond to your inquiries;
- Maintain the security, integrity, and proper operation of the Portal; and
- Comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
3. How we store and protect your information
Account, order, and pricing data is stored in our database hosted by Supabase, on infrastructure located in the United States. Access to dealer pricing and account records is restricted through authentication and database access controls, and sensitive pricing data is served only through secured server-side functions. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we take commercially reasonable measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Portal, and thereafter as required to meet our legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations.
4. Third-party services
We share information with a limited set of service providers solely to operate the Portal:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting for account and order data.
- Resend — delivery of transactional email (account, order, and support notifications).
- Vercel — hosting and delivery of the Portal's web pages.
These providers process information only on our behalf and for the purposes described above. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of INTERTOOL, our dealers, or others.
5. Cookies and local storage
The Portal uses cookies and your browser's local storage for essential functions only — keeping you signed in, maintaining your session, and remembering the contents of your order cart between pages. These are necessary for the Portal to function and are not used for advertising. You can clear or block this data through your browser settings, but doing so may prevent the Portal from working properly.
6. Your choices and rights
You may review and update your business, contact, and address information at any time from your account page, or by contacting us. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we are required to retain for legal, tax, or accounting purposes. To make a request, contact us using the details below. Because the Portal is a business service, requests are handled in the context of your dealer account.
7. Children's privacy
The Portal is intended for businesses and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders. Your continued use of the Portal after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
